Tarot, Oracle or BaZi: Which Reading Suits Your Question
Tarot suits specific situational questions about something happening now. Oracle cards suit open reflection when you don't have a clear question. BaZi works from your birth date and time and describes long-term patterns across years, not immediate situations. The question you're bringing determines which one fits.
People walk in and ask for "a reading" without knowing there's a choice. The three we're asked about most do genuinely different jobs.
Tarot: when you have a specific question
Tarot works well when something concrete is in play. Should I take the offer. Why does this keep happening with this person. What am I not seeing about this situation.
The structure of the deck — major and minor arcana, four suits — gives a reading enough scaffolding to be specific. A good tarot session is much closer to a structured conversation than to prediction. The cards give you angles you hadn't considered, and you do the thinking.

Oracle: when you can't name the question
Some people arrive knowing something feels off without being able to say what. Oracle decks suit that.
They're free-form — no fixed structure, no standard number of cards, themes vary entirely by deck. That makes them gentler and more open than tarot. Less "here's the situation," more "here's what's worth sitting with."
Good as a first reading if you've never had one and find tarot intimidating.

BaZi: when you want the long view
BaZi (八字, "eight characters") is different in kind from the card readings. It isn't drawn in the moment — it's calculated from your birth date and time, mapping them into four pillars: year, month, day and hour.
What it describes is structural. Which of the five elements your chart leans on, where it's thin, which ten-year luck cycle you're currently in, and how a given year interacts with your chart.
It won't tell you whether to reply to a specific message. It will tell you whether you're in an expansive or a consolidating decade, and that's a genuinely useful thing to know.
Bring your time of birth. It sets the hour pillar — without it, a quarter of the chart is unavailable.

A note on how we read
None of this is fortune-telling and we won't present it that way. A reading is a structured way of looking at a situation from outside your own head. What you do afterwards is entirely yours.
We won't tell you someone is your soulmate, predict a death, or diagnose anything. Anyone who does is not doing you a service.
From reading to stone
This is the part most people don't realise is available, and it's the reason we do both under one roof.
A reading surfaces a theme. That theme can then be matched to stones — and if you've had a BaZi reading, matched to your actual favourable element rather than a guess. The bracelet becomes a reminder of something specific you worked out, rather than a nice object you bought.
We offer it as a package: $288 for the reading and the accessory together. You sit down for the reading, we work out what's actually going on, and then build you a piece around it — chosen for your chart, not from a chart.

Common questions
What's the difference between tarot and oracle cards?
Tarot uses a fixed 78-card structure with established meanings, which suits specific situational questions. Oracle decks are free-form and vary by deck, which suits open reflection when you don't have a defined question to ask.
Do I need my birth time for a BaZi reading?
For a complete reading, yes. The hour pillar is one of the four pillars, and without it a quarter of the chart is missing. A reading is still possible without it, but the interpretation is less precise.
Which reading is best for a first-timer?
Oracle cards are usually the gentlest starting point — open, unstructured, no question required in advance. Tarot suits you better if you already have something specific you want to think through.
Can a reading predict my future?
No, and we don't offer it on those terms. Readings are a structured way to reflect on a situation or understand long-term patterns. They're a tool for thinking, not a forecast.
